Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Therapy: In Japenese, “Ashi” translates to foot and “Atsu” into pressure. Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique in which the therapist delivers deep, broad, consistent pressure while utilizing her feet and partial body weight. Working with gravity instead of against it, I am able to provide an effective therapeutic massage without causing pain or discomfort to myself, or the receiving client.
Cream or oil is applied to the client's body, making this deep therapeutic massage fluid and relaxing. Parallel bars are used above the massage table for my balance and support. This treatment is available by appointment at (928) 254-1131.
Yoga Therapy: Using exercises from the physical conditioning tradition seen in Yoga, I help you identify imbalances in the body, discover sources and triggers for pain, and correct weaknesses and instabilities that may be contributing to your symptoms. As an Iyengar-style, Anusara-trained yoga teacher, my trainer equipped me with tools and insights that can help quietly and mindfully re-frame movement patterns and habits. Incorporating these stretches and exercises into your routine can help the beneficial results of your massage linger for weeks or months.
Essential Oil AromaTherapy: A variety of plants cover the Earth. Many of these plants contain compounds that typically can’t be seen with the naked eye—they hide within the roots, flowers, seeds, bark, or other areas of the plant. The compounds are known as essential oils. They are highly concentrated and potent. Because of unique chemical makeup, each essential oil will vary from species to species, and even from plant to plant. The delicate ratio of aromatic constituents found in any given essential oil are what make it unique and give it specific benefits.
